Production is the actual photography phase of the assignment. We hit the ground knowing the shots we're going for, when and where to get them, and how. If we haven't already previewed the site, we assess conditions immediately upon arrival. We check in with the on-site contacts and make sure we have access, electric power, and permissions. On the day of the shoot, we move quickly and efficiently, following a carefully developed schedule.

Unexpected challenges may arise - weather, for example. This is where years of experience in architectural photography pay off in our being able to arrive quickly at creative solutions. For example, cloudy and rainy conditions make daytime exteriors unattractive, but they often make interiors easier to shoot. Clouds also help provide a level of base exposure in night shots, keeping the skies from looking black.
