Your involvement in pre-production provides numerous opportunities to both lower your shooting costs and assure a great outcome.
Before our first meeting, arm yourself with as much knowledge about the property and its site as you can. If possible, provide site maps showing its location and directional orientation.
Determine how many shots you really need. In architectural photography, each setup requires quite a bit of time to prepare (see Production). Obviously, this limits the number of shots we can get in a day, so we have to make every one count.
Take charge of decorating and populating the interior space. You may already have in your head the look you want for a living room or office, so sourcing furniture, artwork, and props yourself will assure you of getting the results you want. The same goes for any people (models) you want in the shot. If you wish for us to handle the arrangements of extra propping or models, let us know in advance. Extra time and money in the estimate will be added.
